Your child will bringing home homework home Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights. The assignment that is brought home will be short and something your child has learned in class. Please check your child's purple folder each night for homework and important parent information. In order to meet your child's individual needs in math and reading, they will be placed into small groups. These group will be flexible and will change throughout the year based on your child's needs. For math, your child will be bringing home math homework. Please check your childs work and help them correct any mistakes that you find. Make sure it is sent back to school the next day.

The word wall words are words that your child will be expected to read and spell by the end of first grade. They will be learning a few words each week. The words will be part of their spelling list and also sent home on a weekly word ring.
